Fiskebar
Project Type - Hotel
Location - Switzerland
On the edge of Lake Geneva is the Hotel de la Paix, an iconic luxury hotel that is part of the Ritz-Carlton group.
Fiskebar, the hotel’s restaurant, is a Nordic-inspired concept that focuses on local ingredients, organic produce and excellent seafood. B3 Designers were brought on board to create a space that married contemporary Nordic design with the quality and simplicity of the dining concept.
Textural woods and a dark, moody palette were inspired by the Nordic landscape, while bespoke ceramic artwork and luxurious brass details are in keeping with the hotel’s history.
B3 created two dining offerings within Fiskebar, as well as a destination cocktail bar and lounge area, and it was within the cocktail lounge that our flooring was specified. B3 approached us to craft handmade panels for the space, with our Jacobin parquet de Versailles panels ultimately being chosen. Echoing the warm and atmospheric feel that celebrates the hotel’s architecture, the rich, aged tone of the panels is achieved through applying an organic restoration oil after fuming.
